Hey, Margaret,
This is looking really nice. But you've got a slight white line between the colour and the line. You need to spread colour in behind that line.
When you select the area to fill, expand the selection by 2 or 3 pixels first, that way it'll go in behind the black line.

are you using photoshop to colour? If so it's pretty straight forward. If not, it might be more difficult.
I love the way you make children. You always capture an innocense and kindness when you make these, and it just makes me so happy when i see them.
what r u doing teaching? illustration u should be doing :)
