Ditto my last comment. Very nicely executed, but I think a differing line quality would really bring it out. Or using a mechanical pen for the bg and the thicker lines in the fg as everything kind of gets mushed together.
Try the dip pen! You can get three nibs in the Trial Pen Set manga set. The nibs are great and fun to use.

john-- yeah i love dip pens, i don't use them enough. these are just sketches i did on the go, and a fattish chisel-tipped marker was the only utensil i had at the time, hahah. but yeah i need to take a trip to the art store and get some different nibs and tips, totally. thanks : )
