have you tried doing your rendering to reflect the plans of the face? All the lines in the rendering seem to be kind of ad hoc, but if you push them in a way to describe planar values it might tidy them up a little.
Just a suggestion. They look pretty cool

i think you should do a bigger inked piece with that idea or something.
